QUIPS & QUOTES

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."
-- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), farmer, postmaster, surveyor, lawyer, state legislator, orator and 16th U.S. President (1861-1865)

"Congratulations Mr. President!"

White House, January 19, 2005, Inauguration Day FestivitiesCongratulations Mr. President on your re-election and inauguration.  After enduring yet more condescending, obtuse, overbearing, obnoxious, snarky, sneering, media "coverage" of the Inauguration Day events and festivities; we found it necessary to re-verify who really was elected in the last presidential election.  An uninformed, out of touch citizen may have concluded from the "un-biased" coverage that the former co-presidents Billy Jeff & Hill had somehow

surrealistically been re-elected yet again for a third term.  We are delighted to report that we consulted the election maps and USA Today 2004 Election Map By Countyvoting tallies again and found that you were indeed re-elected in the last presidential election.  Apparently the out of touch, mendacious main stream media has yet to check out these sources.

Mexico Declares "War" On Arizona
Chris Adamo reports that Mexican President Vicente Fox has long rejected the term "illegal aliens", claiming instead that the invaders are "undocumented workers", thus displaying a total disregard for American law.

The National Association of Scholars
Mike Adams finds the idea of joining an organization of professors, graduate students, college administrators and trustees committed to rational intellectual discourse very appealing indeed.

Would You Risk Your Life to Vote?
Doug Patton says there are those on the Left in America who, while basking in the freedom provided for them by Americans in uniform, are so blinded by their hatred of George W. Bush that they would prefer to see chaos instead of peace in Iraq.

Iraqi Democracy Succeeds Despite American Democrats
Judson Cox observes state sponsors of terrorism are being transformed into pro-western democracies by a Republican President and brave Americans who are willing to fight for the freedom and safety of others.

Students vs. Professors
Hans Zeiger claims a growing sense of spirituality and a burgeoning identity with the pro-life cause are two outstanding features of today's students whose attitudes represent an increasingly widening chasm with their professors.

A Presidential Declaration of the Imperial State
Jeff Adams points out that President Bush's challenge to America should be rejected, as it is an invitation to embrace imperialism and reject republicanism.

"Moderates" Could Orchestrate GOP Disaster in '08
Chris Adamo believes among the "movers and shakers" within the Republican Party several disturbing trends are becoming apparent, namely support for abortion rights and same-sex "marriage".

Pardon Graner
Jon Alvarez finds the prosecution of our military personnel hypocritical and outrageous.  Especially disturbing is the fact that so many in the world, Americans included, appear to be more concerned with the rights of non-uniformed terrorists and public relations than actually defeating this evil enemy and bringing them to justice.

How to Talk to an Atheist (and you must)
Mike Adams reflects on his days as a long-haired, guitar playing musician in Mississippi.

What Part of 'Illegal' Don't They Understand?
Doug Patton maintains there is a false belief among many elected officials that all immigrants agree with public policies that blur the line between legal and illegal immigration -- Nothing could be further from the truth .... many immigrants who have jumped through all the hoops to legally immigrate to America resent the very officials and policies that tolerate the current flood of illegal immigration.

IMMIVASION
Jeff Adams says personally he rather pay an extra 10 cents for a tomato than an extra 10 dollars in taxes to support illegals.  No matter how you slice it, American citizens are on the losing end of this if Bush gets his way and the 'immivasion' is allowed to not only continue, but to grow.

Cape Canaveral: Where Politics Met Reality
Chris Adamo believes whether it is the inarguable truth of unborn human life, the immutable nature of marriage, or the cruelly inalterable laws of physics, dire consequences are universally assured whenever reality is supplanted by the blindness of liberal ideology.
