RECLAIMING AMERICA

A new Web site is launched to liberate the minds of American citizens who have been denied an opportunity to learn about America’s history and the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

June 6, 2001 marks a milestone in history as AmericasVoices.org launches its educational site to provide a platform for American citizens to not only rediscover their history, but also to express their views to each other and to their elected representatives.

D-DAY 2001 . . . Reclaiming America

June 6 marks the anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe in World War II. American and Allied soldiers and sailors fought for three years through occupied European countries to liberate them from the oppressive Fascist dictatorships that had held them hostage for nearly ten years. The western European countries, Asia, and the near and middle east had been beaten by, or subjugated to, the tyrannical Axis dictators.

The June invasion of Europe was the beginning of the end of WW II. It was not won by the generals in Washington, or the industrial executives, or by Congress , for that matter. It was won by the millions of foot soldiers and sailors who slogged across Europe, manned the warships, and flew the planes that brought the Axis powers to their knees. Ironically, this fight to preserve individual liberty and freedom for the European Continent and adjacent countries also laid the foundations for destroying those very freedoms in the United States. The end of the war marked the beginning of:

  • huge government bureaucracies,

  • increased taxation for social programs,

  • governmental controls on individual liberty,

  • the military/industrial complex,

  • our entrance into the United Nations with its hidden agenda for one-world government,

  • our involvement in undeclared wars in Korea and Viet Nam,

  • the Cold War and nuclear proliferation,

  • a rise in ultra-liberalism and its attendant leftist organizations,

  • the rise of the welfare state and its inevitable undermining of the family and of personal responsibility

  • increased violent crime rates

  • a deterioration of public education,

  • the rise of the medical/ pharmaceutical complex,

  • the trampling of our liberties guaranteed by the Constitution by government institutions such as the Internal Revenue Service, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms,

  • affirmative action,

  • illegal immigration,

  • and a general complacency brought about by increasing affluence and by the increasing ignorance of American citizens about their history and heritage as a nation.

We have become a hyphenated nation of African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Indian-Americans, etc. We apply modifying adjectives denoting a group’s cultural heritage freely, rather than using such adjectives as good and patriotic to identify ourselves as Americans. It has become politically correct to remove all references to gender, to deny the existence of a divine being and to defer to the legal establishment when defining what is right, moral or proper. We have seen the imposition of situational ethics on the deliberations of our elected officials, judicial system and regulatory bodies, and the delicate balance of checks and balances between our three branches of government -- so carefully defined by the Founders – undermined and eroded by an activist judiciary dedicated to the notion of a ‘living’ Constitution – totally at odds with the idea of established, unchanging principles that guide the actions of a limited government accountable to its citizens.

Folks, it is time to take America back! It is time for another D-Day this June 2001. We must mobilize the foot soldiers in conservative, patriotic America to once again defeat the enemy within. It can be done. Following the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, Adm. Yamamoto of the Japanese Imperial Navy said, "I fear we have only succeeded in awakening a sleeping giant." And, awaken we did, and rose to the challenge, won the war, rebuilt Europe and Japan, but allowed our own heritage to deteriorate.

By 1960, several generations of the "new Americans" populated our government, our school administrations and our social and religious institutions. We were, as our parents and grandparents used to say, "too full of ourselves." We were the world’s peacekeeper, banker, teacher and first class sucker. Our legal, educational and social institutions invented and created problems rather than inventing and creating solutions. Greed and self indulgence replaced hard work and building for tomorrow. America has become a complex patchwork of enclaves because of non-assimilation by immigrants and ethnic minorities.

We are Americans first, with a unique, divinely-inspired origin. Our greatest leaders, Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Eisenhower, to name a few, never shied away from referring to and giving credit to: The Almighty…, God…,The Creator…, and, Divine Being, for America’s success and existence; but the new Americans and the Leftists demand that we remove God and all his a/k/a’s from our public and private lives.

America is great because of its heritage and it can once again return to a Constitutional republican government. We believe that education is the key; that Americans must exercise their rights of free speech and access to the truth. We know that to " know the truth and the truth will [keep us] free; and, that the power to take America back is in the power of the pen.

Join with us and help return America to the nation established by our Founding Fathers 225 years ago. It is fitting that America’s Voices be launched this month, taking the offensive to reclaim America for ourselves and our children. It is time to re-awaken the sleeping giant.
