Michael A. Wallace

Michael Wallace was born in LaJolla, California and currently resides in Stafford, Virginia.  He has been married for over twenty years to a "minority" who thinks of herself first and foremost as an American.  They have three children.

Upon graduation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1980 with a degree in political science, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.  His specialty was communications.  Retiring from the Corps after serving twenty years, he continues his close involvement in national defense issues.

The critical juncture of his military career occurred with the US Joint Task Force for Operation Restore Hope in Somalia.  The charade of do-good intervention, without any intention of addressing or resolving root issues requiring intervention, cost needless lives and national treasure.  The same pattern was subsequently replayed in Haiti, Bosnia, and Kosovo.

During his military career, Mike traveled extensively, and developed a sincere appreciation for the beauty and goodness of the United States and our way of life.  Military service and exposure to other peoples, cultures and systems of government strengthened his deep-rooted conservatism.  It re-kindled his passion for studying the genius of our Founding Fathers and the political thought that formed the greatest nation on earth.  Mike takes very seriously his oath of commissioning, "… to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

Mike’s political activism began in earnest when the Democratic Party systematically attempted to disqualify military absentee votes in the November 2000 election, and brazenly orchestrated the attempted hijacking of the presidential election.  Mike was very active in the protests after the November 7th election.  He has authored several articles since; among them, Inauguration Day – January 20, 2001: Observations by a Conservative; Abortion: The Shame of America; The Voter’s March – May 19, 2001 (Armed Forces Day): Another Expression of Liberal Illogic; and An Appeal to Conservatives.

Mike is a registered Republican in Stafford County, a former Eagle Scout, a Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association, a strong believer in Second Amendment rights and a pro-life advocate – all things liberals seem to dislike.  In addition to his affiliation with America’s Voices, Mike is a member of ConservaVets, a conservative veteran’s organization that is dedicated to the support of a strong national defense unfettered by liberal, social activism.  ConservaVets also supports the principle that every serviceman and woman who casts an absentee ballot in any election must have this ballot counted.

Mike joined America’s Voices as a commentator in June 2001, and with ConservaVets co-founder Dave Dilegge, their website ConservaVets.org is partnering with AmericasVoices.org as its virtual military/veterans/defense branch.
