David J. Miller
has been an Ohio resident all his life (37 years). He is
married, has two daughters and lives in the house his
great-grandfather built. His daughters are the fifth
generation to live on the family's land.
Dave has owned firearms since he was a young man, and recently
rediscovered his interest in them. That interest led to
his discovering the peril his right to keep and bear arms was
in, which led to his concern with losing other rights and
freedoms as well.
Dave is a member of no fewer than eight pro-gun organizations
Owners of America, The Second
Amendment Foundation, Jews
for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, The
Second Amendment Sisters, and Ohioans
For Concealed Carry. He moderates the
Legal & Political Forum on the firearms information site
where he is known as "TheBluesMan". He is
also the Assistant Director of Operation
Self Defense, a collective of volunteer activists who search
online news sources for true accounts of armed self-defense.
In addition to supporting pro-gun and other conservative causes,
Dave enjoys reading about the history of baseball, researching
his family's genealogy, coaching his daughter's softball team
and listening to The Blues. He is a Christian, and is
Moderator of his local church where he sings tenor in the
choir and is editor of their newsletter.
Dave has worked as a painter, a carpenter, a cabinetmaker, an
exhibit builder in a museum and is currently employed in the
trade show industry. He is a graduate of Kent State
