I was born on a
farm in rural NH. I left New England in 1979 after the
sudden loss of my parents, moved to Los Angeles where I met my
husband and started a family. In 1992 we decided to move
our family north to the Pacific Northwest hoping for a better
life for our 3 sons. We now reside on the outskirts of
that liberal Mecca known as Seattle.
When my children were little I chose to be a stay at home mom
doing the normal PTA, carpooling and football practice
runs. I recently went back to school to get an Associates
Degree in Computer Science and a web development
certificate. I just graduated in January 2001 from the
local community college and became inducted into the Alpha Alpha
Lambda chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Society.
When I was young, I was a very liberal Democrat. I was
extremely active and involved in causes like Green Peace,
Planned Parenthood and protesting Nuclear power plants. I
had a change of heart around 1990 after listening to
conservative talk shows like Rush Limbaugh.
Realizing the error of my ways, today I am a proud conservative
who spends a great deal of time and energy on causes that help
the conservative movement. I run a website that promotes
political activism: www.dittohead.org
I work in campaigns for conservative candidates, and I put
my money where my mouth is. I take time to vote with my
wallet, speak up for my beliefs, and try to teach my three
children morals and values.
