Dave Dilegge was born in Baltimore, Maryland and currently resides in Stafford, Virginia.  He is married and has two daughters and a son.

Upon graduation from Frostburg State College in 1978, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and subsequently served 20 years as both an active duty and reserve Marine.  His most memorable Marine Corps experience was his participation in Operation Desert Storm with the 1st Marine Division.  Dave had the opportunity to travel the world and his experiences and observations overseas reinforced his conviction that the United States is by far the most progressive and inclusive country in the world - all thanks to the foresight of our founding fathers when they wrote our Constitution.

A life-long conservative, Dave's participation (beyond voting in every election) in political activism began during the 2000 national elections.  Outrage over the attempt to disqualify the military absentee ballots in Florida, a sincere concern over the neglect and abuse of the military by the Clinton/Gore administration, and a commitment to conservative values, fueled the flames that led to this activism.

In addition to his affiliation with America's Voices, Dave is a member of ConservaVets.org, a small but growing group of US military veterans who are dedicated to the conservative cause and vow never again to permit the exclusion of our servicemen and women from their right to vote nor stand idly by as our Nation's military capabilities are eroded due to political and social special interests.

Dave joined America’s Voices as a member of the Advisory Board in June 2001, and with ConservaVets co-founder and America’s Voices commentator Mike Wallace, is partnering with AmericasVoices.org as its virtual military/veterans/defense branch.
