December 25, 2001
I was in the Pentagon just ten minutes
before the terrorists struck on the morning of September 11,
2001. A few seemingly unrelated circumstances and
decisions cut my visit short, allowing me the liberty to finish
this segment this evening. I am sobered by the realization
that those circumstances and decisions kept me from remaining at
the Pentagon in the path of where the plane struck.
Ten minutes can be very precious.
I write this now believing friends of mine did not make it out
alive. My rage is palpable. My sorrow is
profound. My resolve is indefatigable.

domestic enemies of our Constitution and our Republic. I
also firmly believe our Republic has been under assault by a
brand of liberalism either intent on destroying its very
foundation, or, being an unwitting accomplice in its
I will finish this series on The Liberal Assault on our Federal
Republic, although my first inclination this morning was to
cease. I will continue, however, so that the enemies of
our Republic among us will know that they have me for an
implacable enemy. They will not rest, even in the
aftermath of today's tragedies, and neither will I.
From this moment on, I dedicate this series to our fellow
Americans who have fallen – liberal and conservative alike and
of all faiths and beliefs. May God grant them eternal
